Mercedes-Benz National Dressage Championships 2002

The National Dressage Championships, sponsored for the second year by Mercedes-Benz, will be a truly top class display of horsepower in 2002. The best of the best from across the country will compete for the National Championship titles at all levels - with plenty of incentive for riders to go that extra mile.

With the competition running over four days the popular music freestyle classes will take place on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The rider with the highest combined score in the Intermediaire 1 and Intermediaire 1 Freestyle will not only take away the coveted holiday for two at the Blue Waters Hotel in Antigua, but also a set of luxury luggage from Cliff Barnsby to complete their holiday experience.

The exciting climax to the show will be the Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Freestyle on Sunday afternoon. The combined score of this class and the Butchers Pet Care Grand Prix, which will be held on the Saturday afternoon, will earn the prestigious title of Mercedes-Benz National Champion and the and the further honour of driving away in a 163 hp Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 KOMPRESSOR Roadster.

Spectators are also in for a special treat, as international dressage star Kyra Kyrklund will be performing demonstrations in the main arena on Saturday and Sunday, along with other displays and tradestands galore.
