France Win Aga Khan, Ireland Third
FOR
THE first time in 45 years, the French show jumping team won the
Aga Khan Trophy at the Kerrygold Horse Show, Dublin, with a clutch
of double clear rounds giving them a two-round total of just four
faults today (Friday).
Italy
were second on 16 faults, while Ireland finished third on 20 faults.
Despite
a copybook first round clear by 22 yr old Kildare rider Cian O'Connor
on <Waterford Crystal>, Ireland failed to manage another clear
round in the competition.
However,
the points picked up at Dublin today mean that Ireland now qualifies
for the Samsung Nations Cup Final at Donauschingen, Germany, in
two weeks' time.
