EXHIBITION - OVER 75% SOLD
The response from Australian and international equine companies
for exhibition space in Brisbane has been sensational. Over 140
companies have already reserved their exhibition booth at what promises
to be a massive equine event.
Equine companies perceive EQUITANA Brisbane as the perfect opportunity
to tap into the lucrative Australian equine market. This combined
with evidence that visitors travel from far and wide to immerse
themselves in EQUITANA, guarantees for a successful national event.
Feedback from the equine world also tells us that people are now
starting to save money for a spending spree at EQUITANA Brisbane.
This follows on from an independent survey at the 2001 event where
the majority of visitors surveyed stated that 'they come prepared
to buy'.
With tickets now on sale for little over a month, we are already
seeing the impact that EQUITANA is having. Sales are well above
expectations and on track to emulate the numbers of the Melbourne
events.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to get your company/product known
to the equine industry, not only in Australia but all over the world!

ULLA SALZGEBER - Dressage World Number One
EQUITANA Brisbane is proud to present World number one dressage
rider, Ulla Salzgeber, in an exclusive, one-off clinic. Don't miss
this once in a lifetime experience - click here for more information:
http://www.equitana.com.au/news.ez?viewStory=356
Born in Oberhausen, Germany on the 5 August 1958, Ulla Salzgeber
has become one of the most recognised names within the Dressage
circle. Ulla developed her passion for riding at the age of ten
in vaulting, however she soon changed her focus to concentrate on
the elegant discipline of dressage. In 1977, Ulla was nominated
for the Olympic C - Kader for Juniors and Young Riders and rode
her first European Masters in Leverkusen.
Ulla owes her solid basic training to some of the world best trainers,
Fritz Tempelmann, Harry Boldt, Willy Schultheiß and especially
General Albert Stecken. This, combined with her successful experiences
in the saddle, has prompted Ulla to develop her own style of training.
She says, "it's close to my heart to teach the classical way
I was taught. I'm pleased if my work brings the wanted success to
horse and rider". Such is the demand for Ulla's expertise,
that from 1992 - 1995 she was
national trainer of the Bavarian Juniors and national trainer of
the Philippine team.
Today, Ulla has an impressive list of credentials, including team
gold and individual bronze in Dressage at the Sydney Olympics, and
gold in the 2001 European Masters. She is the reigning World Cup
title holder and current World number one.
Ulla to compete at the World Equestrian Games:
Ulla will head the German Team at this year's World Equestrian Games
in Jerez, Spain. The Dressage component of the Games (11th - 15th
September) will begin with the Grand Prix, where the best three
scores from each team will go towards the final team score. The
top 25 riders after the Grand Prix will progress to the Grand Prix
Special, and the top 15 after the Special will go through to the
Freestyle KUR. The final scores after the KUR will determine the
individual medals.
Owing to her current World number one status, and the fact that
her two rivals from the Sydney Olympics, Anky Van Grunsven and Isabell
Werth have retired their Olympic horses, Ulla is hot favourite to
win the World Championships title.
Visit the EQUITANA website - www.equitana.com.au
- for up-to-date reports on Ulla's progress at the World Equestrian
Games.
