Equus
- The Horse Event Expanding
|
"Equus
provides a really good start to the season. The venue is great,
easy to reach by public transport and motorway and a great place
to meet our members"
Pat
Gaywood of the British Horse Society reflects on the benefits of
Equus, a view shared by both exhibitors and visitors.
This
year's event saw the consolidation of this new addition to the equestrian
calendar attracting over 20,000 visitors during the four days. The
displays by Tim Stockdale, Blyth Tait, Kelly Marks and many others
proved to be an irresistible combination yet again. 93% of visitors
enjoyed it so much they said they would come back next year.
Equus
will be held at ExCel in London on 3rd-6th April 2003. Plans
for next year will ensure the extensive variety and high quality
standard of displays will continue with three separate sessions
with adequate gaps allowing for extended shopping time. Seats can
be booked for the individual sessions, a system that was pioneered
this year and will be further structured next year.
More
horses can be seen at Equus 2003 will the installation of a second
arena, to be used predominantly for horses practicing and warming-up.
It will allow visitors to get closer to the stars in the intimate
indoor setting and watch them in action prior to entering the Main
Arena.
The
event is expanding to provide even more for visitors. There will
be a new country area that will include country clothing and outdoor
accessories and a new "outdoor" area will also be incorporated
within the hall for horseboxes, horse walkers and other larger display
items.
