Excitement Builds as Triple Crown Draws Near

Unionville, PA—August 19, 2002—The excitement is building among advanced single and pair competitors alike as the first leg of The Triple Crown of Combined Driving draws near. The Triple Crown consists of three events including the Laurels Driving Event in West Grove, PA, September 6-8, the Gladstone Driving Event in Gladstone, NJ, October 11-13, and culminating in Fair Hill, MD at the Fair Hill International Driving Event, October 24-27.

Drivers who compete in all three events will automatically be entered in the competition for the Triple Crown. Drivers must compete in all three events to be eligible for the award but only their top two scores will count in determining the winner. The driver who obtains the lowest raw score will be crowned the winner.

Awards will be presented at each event based on current standings, but the overall presentation of the Triple Crown will take place at the conclusion of the Fair Hill International Driving Event. The winning competitors must be present at the Fair Hill presentation or they will forfeit their award and the honor will be given to the next best finisher in attendance.

This year, Driving Essentials, Inc. will provide the prize for the Triple Crown, a new Glinkowski Carriage! The winner of the illustrious title will receive his or her choice of either a single or pair FEI Presentation or Marathon competition vehicle made by Glinkowski Carriages.

Glinkowski Carriages manufactures a wide range of carriages that have been used extensively throughout Europe for over 15 years. These carriages are now available in the United States exclusively through Driving Essentials. A Glinkowski Carriage will serve as a first-class prize for a top-notch driver in the Triple Crown.
