USTPA
releases new corporate logo
(Wichita
Falls, Texas) Team penning just got a new look to a fairly
new game in the horse industry as the United States Team Penning
Association (USTPA) releases its new corporate logo today.
The
release of our new logo is just the first step in our new strategic
marketing plan designed to grow this sport, said USPTA President
Ronnie Gebauer. The logo represents what we believe to be
the most critical part of the sport, and that is the team work needed
in penning three head of cattle.
With
a design communicating the high energy of this fast-paced sport
and reminiscent of other professional sport logos, the new logo
depicts the letters USTPA and the words United
States Team Penning Association, with three riders, both men
and women, moving as a unit through the logo. Team penning requires
a team of three riders to select three like-numbered cattle from
a herd of 30 and move them to a small pen at the opposite end of
the arena within as little as a sixty second time period. Cattle
in the herd are numbered 0 to 9, with three cattle bearing each
of those numbers. A number glued to their backs indicates the selected
cattle.
The
USTPA, the largest not-for-profit team penning association in North
America, represents a membership of more than 6,000 team penning
enthusiasts and manages, through USTPA Productions, team pennings
that offer more than $1.2 million in cash and prizes annually.
