Successful
Adoption Day for the Brumby Protection Group
The
Brumby Protection Groups first Adoption Day at Glenworth Valley,
Sydney Australia, was a complete success, with all of the young
Walers going to new homes. Prices were high considering the depressed
market for horses right now due to the drought, thus showing the
interest that Australians have in both brumbies, and Waler's.
The
horses came from an outback station near Alice Springs, and were
trucked nearly four thousand kilometres to reach the coast where
they could be safe. A further sixty young Walers are still in need
of a home, and as soon as Brumby Protection Group can find the funds
to get them off the property where they are being "bushed",
they will be brought to Sydney and trained as saddle horses.
