Saturday 23 August dawned fair and dry for the ILPH Sponsored Ride
through the Elvedon Estate , near Thetford, Norfolk.
"The
cool breeze certainly made the day more comfortable for both horses
and humans," comments Jenni Debbage, ILPH Operations Support
Officer who organised the event.

Commander and Mrs. S. Watkins of Great Moulton, Norfolk (no 4) on
9 year old Just Alfie
The
67 riders who enjoyed a peaceful ride around the beautiful estate
tracks and roads had the choice of a 6, 10 or 15 mile ride, with
the majority of riders opting for the 10 miles.
"The
opportunity to ride around a private estate is very rare and we
are very grateful to the Earl and Countess of Iveagh for their generosity,"
Jenni continues, "the turnout was brilliant despite several
other equine events on over the weekend and we raised an amazing
£1,380."
