World Individual Championship Challenge
This
year's Mounted Games Association of Great Britain Intercounties
Championships at the Royal Showground, Stoneleigh will also host
the World Individual Championship Challenge.
Over 500 ponies and their riders are expected at the three-day
competition with 100 teams in three age groups.
After the grand final where the top seven teams will fight out
for the prestigious title of Intercounties Champions, the five
World Individual Champions go head-to-head for the overall World
Individual Challenge title.
The five riders will have already have ridden in the three-day
team competition before competing in eight races. The riders will
show their ability having ridden in team competition before taking
part in individual races.
The five riders are from across the country - from Warwickshire
are Holly Humphries and Darren Williams, Hollie Rauch is from
Cardiff, Katie Hardy is from Lincolnshire and Melanie Scott is
from Ayrshire in Scotland.
The competition will take place about 4.15pm in the horse ring
at Stoneleigh's Town and Country Festival (23/25 August).
At 11.30am on Monday all teams will parade, with the five world
individual champions also appearing in the world famous all-weather
horse ring.
