Pony
Club Unveils First Plans For 75th Anniversary
|
The
Pony Club is delighted to announce that to mark its 75th anniversary
in 2004, it has been appointed the nominated charity for the Olympia
International Show Jumping Championships 2003 (18th-22nd December)
and the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials 2004 (29th April-2nd
May).
Sian
Thomas, Chief Executive of The Pony Club, said: We are very
grateful to two such prestigious events for giving us the chance
not only to raise funds for training but also a very significant
opportunity to reach our existing and past Members - in addition
to those who may be new to the horse world and therefore not familiar
with the benefits of membership of The Pony Club
Hugh
Thomas, Director of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials,
said: You would have to go back to the 1960s to find a British
winner of Badminton who has not been a Member of The Pony Club and
this, coupled with our long association with the Beaufort Branch
and the fact that it is The Pony Clubs 75th anniversary next
year, gives us an excellent opportunity to help them commemorate
this significant anniversary whilst looking forward to the future.
Simon
Brooks-Ward, Director of the Olympia International Show Jumping
Championships, said: We are delighted to be able to give The
Pony Club the opportunity to increase awareness of this fantastic
organisation through Olympia and to promote their plans for the
75th anniversary.
