Belfast
Horse Show Attracts Industry Support |
In
just under 12 weeks the Odyssey Arena will play host to Northern
Ireland's first ever five-star show jumping event when The Belfast
Indoor International Horse Show, opens its doors on November 27
for a four day international extravaganza.
Proving
itself to be an attractive investment for a host of commercial houses,
Belfast Indoor International Horse Show has been overwhelmed by
the support that both local and national companies have given.
Envirocare,
part of the Cavan-based Kingspan Group of companies, sees the event
as an attractive multi-branding opportunity and has captured this
opportunity whole-heartedly by becoming Title Sponsor of the show.
Four
Dee NI Ltd, specialists in controlled laser cutting, plasma cutting
and folding of mild steel stainless steel and aluminum, has also
been announced as a major sponsor, with the investment of a six-figure
sum into the 2003 event.
Equestrian
Sports Promotion has confirmed this support and sees Belfast Indoor
International Horse Show as the show to put Ireland firmly back
in the driving seat of horse-based events. "Commerce and industry
seem to share our enthusiasm," commented Theresa McKenna, Event
Director. "It has taken us two years to get this off the ground,
but once we had the backing of the Odyssey Arena, things began to
really take off."
British-based
Equestrian Surfaces will be laying over 900 tonnes of Cushion Track
as the base for Odyssey's first equestrian arena. Paul Harper, the
company's Managing Director, stated, "We are absolutely thrilled
to be providing our premiere surface Cushion Track at the Belfast
Indoor International Horse Show." So thrilled, in fact, that
they have shown their support by confirming a three-year sponsorship
commitment to this spectacular event. Paul believes that "Given
the caliber and dedication of those involved in organizing this
show, this will surely become a permanent fixture on the equestrian
calendar".
With
top international riders and show officials traveling from all over
the world, accommodation of a high and dependable standard had to
be located to cater for them during their stay in Belfast. This
was found in the Days Hotel, the newest and largest hotel in Northern
Ireland. Owned by Andras House, this £12 million development
is both sponsoring and providing discounted rates as the show's
official hotel.
Further
support has been confirmed from Waterford Crystal, Spillers Specialty
Feeds, Wilson's Auction Group, HorseWare Rugs, Flybe.com, Coca Cola,
Floral Earth, Warner Village Cinemas, The News Letter & Equestrian
Life, Downtown / Cool FM Radio, The Odyssey Arena, Tushingham Stables,
The Irish Sports Council, Rolex, My TravelLite Airline, Brookland
Bedding, DA Forgie Machinery, AJ Lamont Trailers & Ifor Williams
Trailers, Equestrian Direct Sales, Botanic Inn's, McHale Engineering,
