Trick or TreatWin $1,000 at Colorado Horse Park
Parker, CO, August 14, 2003 With a little creativity and the
consent of your fun-loving horse or pony, you could win $1,000 at
the fourth annual Halloween with Horses costume contest at the Colorado
Horse Park at High Prairie Farms.
A
box of Crayola Crayons. A mummy. A skeleton horse and rider. These
are just a few of the creative costumes from years past at Halloween
with Horses. This year on Saturday, October 25, judges will be looking
for the costumed horse and rider that show the most originality
and flair. The grand prize is $1,000.
The
top placings from each age category (12 and under, 13 and older)
also receive cold, hard cash for their efforts. First place in each
category is awarded $100, second place earns $75 and third place
receives $50. Entry fee is $30 for pre-entry or $40 on the day of
the event.
For
the first time ever non-horse costume classes will also be held.
There is no entry-fee for these classes and the winners receive
big rosettes. (Age categories are 12 and under, and 13 and older.)
Halloween
with Horses fall festival is fun for the whole family offering a
safe trick or treat barn, pony rides, face-painting, storytelling,
camel rides, a pumpkin patch, food, entertainment and shopping,
including the Artists Guild and Farmers Market. Children under six
years old are free. For those over six, the cost per person is just
$5. Parking is free. The Halloween With Horses fall festival runs
from 12:00-6:30 on October 25 and also features the only Halloween
fireworks celebration at dark.
