Fellers (USA) wins Three Grand Prixs with McGuinness (ISH)
in the USA |
American
Showjumper Rich Fellers has long been an Irish Sport Horse enthusiast
having ridden horses like Amos, Andy and Tullamore Dew in the past.
In 2003 he has found success with the Irish Sport Horses McGuinness
and Flexible.
McGuinness (ISH) won the $10,000 AGA 1m45 Championship in Palm Beach,
Florida (US) last April. In May he won the $20,000 Atco Cup and
the $50,000 Grand Prix at Edmonton Northlands Show in Alberta, Canada.
He went on to win a 1m50 International Speed Class at Spruce Meadows
and also won the $40,000 Country Classic Grand Prix in Oregon in
July. Most recently he won the $50,000 Fort Langley Grand Prix and
was placed second in the $10,000 Tommy Bahama Grand Prix at Thunderbird
Showpark Show in British Columbia, Canada in August.
Flexible (ISH) was the winner of five 1m30 classes and one 1m40
class at Spruce Meadows in June and July and was consistently placed
in 1m30 classes in Tampa and West Palm Beach, Florida earlier in
the year. He took second place in the $25,000 AGA Grand Prix in
Bend, Oregon in July, third in the $10,000 Futures class at Edmonton
Northland in May and fourth place in the $5000 Futures class at
Thunderbird Showpark Show in August.
