TOP WORKING HUNTERS WORK OUT AT EQUINE EVENT Some of the country’s top working hunter horses and ponies will appear at the British Equine Event, 3rd - 4th November at the NAC Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, in unique presentations on how to select and produce prize winning working hunters. The horses, including Scotch the Rumour, Working Hunter of the Year in 2000, can be seen on Sunday 4th in a demonstration organised by Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain and presented by Mike Florence, council member and highly experienced judge. The ponies will be performing both days of the event in a display co-ordinated by the British Show Pony Society and sponsored by Intervet, manufacturer of Panacur Equine Guard. Robert Oliver, Britain’s leading producer of show horses, will introduce and explain what makes a good show hunter and working hunter pony. Both demonstrations will focus on all aspects of training, judging requirements and how to produce and care for the successful performance horse and pony. The working hunters demonstrations are just part of a number of attractions at the British Equine Event which features a packed two-day programme starring some of the world's top equestrian personalities, over 300 specialist trade stands, a Healthy Horse Focus, ‘Talking Horses’ Seminars and a feature on horse breeds. The British Equine Event is organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of England in association with Your Horse and is sponsored by Dodson & Horrell Ltd, Eqvalan and Intervet. It has fast become known as the biggest event of its kind offering everything for the horse and rider.
