It was only last year
that Bob was a half-starved two-year-old, barely
able to walk. Because of Bob's appalling condition his owner was
successfully prosecuted by the RSPCA and fined £3,000. Now owned
by the
International League for the Protection of Horses, ILPH, Bob is barely
recognisable. Apart from being an equine star, he has doubled his body
weight and transformed himself into a very handsome piebald gelding.
Such is his star status now, that he is being immortalised by the toy
company Julip Horses Ltd.and featuring in their latest gift set with his
friend Liz Hatten, ILPH Shows and Promotions Manager, who suggested Bob
as a model. Blonde haired Liz commented, " eat your heart out Barbie,
who needs Ken when you can have Bob!"
Robinsons Retail Store
is situated just six furlongs from Haydock
racecourse. Don't miss this wonderful occasion with the chance to meet
Bob the Cob and Liz Hatten whilst finding out more about the work of the
ILPH. Then take the opportunity to indulge in some therapeutic retail
equine therapy, including Julip horses.
Julip Horses Ltd will
donate a percentage of the proceeds from the sales
to the ILPH.
