Equine Student's Bid To Win Prestigous Award |
Amy
Greenwood, a recent graduate from Writtle College, Chelmsford is
hoping to become the winner of the prestigious Eqvalan Thesis of
the Year Award following her selection to attend the final judging
phase at this year's British Equine Event held at Stoneleigh Park,
Warwickshire on the 2nd and 3rd of November.
Now
in its fourth year, the Royal Agricultural Society of England initiated
award is designed to reward academic excellence within colleges
offering equine degree courses. Fifteen top institutions put forward
their best equine science student to be considered. As one of five
finalists, Amy will present her final year thesis to a panel of
judges at November's British Equine Event; she will then 'defend'
her work to the panel as the judges cross-examine her findings.
The Eqvalan thesis of the year winner will be awarded with their
prize at a private ceremony whilst still at the British Equine Event.
