USA Equestrian Now Accepting Applications For 2002 Media Awards

USA Equestrian's 2002 Annual Media Awards are now open for nominations. The deadline for nominations to be received in the Lexington office is Friday,
November 22, 2002.

A panel of media experts will judge the awards on Friday, December 6 and the winners will be notified by December 13. The 2002 USA Equestrian Awards for Media Excellence will be presented formally on the evening of Friday January 17, 2003, at the 2003 USA Equestrian Annual Meeting at the Marriott Griffin
Gate in Lexington, Kentucky.

The 2001 winners of the awards were:
* Equestrian Print Media, Publication: The American Quarter Horse Journal
* Equestrian Print Media, Single Article: "Leap Into History" - Gayle Gerlach Stewart
* Non-Equestrian Print Media: "Olympians Provide Thrill to Horse Owners" by Suzanne Bush
* Internet Media: Horsesdaily.com
* Broadcast Media: "The Horse Show with Rick Lamb" - Diana Baines, Producer
* Photography: "Just Say Whoa" - Cappy Jackson

USA Equestrian Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As
