Bright Start For Equus 2004

EQUUS - The Horse Event returns for the fourth year running to ExCeL London on 16 -18 April 2004 with new sponsors and new owners to take Equus forward into a new era.

The new sponsors of the event are IPC Media, publishers of Horse & Hound, Horse and Eventing magazines and the new partnership has been established to attract even more visitors to the Show. Fiona Dent, Publishing Director for the three titles, said "EQUUS is about sharing equestrian knowledge with riders of all abilities and encouraging greater enjoyment of our sport, and so we are delighted to support EQUUS 2004."

The new owners of Equus - the Horse Event are TJW Exhibitions who have been organising trade and consumer events for over 15 years. According to Tim Walsh, Chairman and Founder of TJW, "It's great to be working with Sarah and IPC as part of a team making Equus even better and more fun to visit. Together we are planning to add a number of new features to the Show as part of a great day out for everyone."

Sarah Cartwright, who sold the show to TJW, will continue as part of the EQUUS team. "I am delighted with the news and am confident Equus will go from strength to strength with the joint commitment of IPC Media and TJW."

She further added that the show was going to return to the format of 2001 where visitors have free access to the arena all day and to encourage visitors to move about the show the morning performances will be repeated during the afternoon.

EQUUS currently attracts over 20,000 visitors each year drawn by its unique combination of attractions, exhibits and seminars all designed to interest riders with varying levels of ability and skill.
