SCOPE
elite auction on 4 November
An outstanding selection of foals and 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds will
be offered for sale at the second SCOPE elite auction on Tuesday 4
November at the Kill International Equestrian Centre in County Kildare,
Ireland.
Carefully
chosen by the SCOPE Selection Committee and subjected to a strict
health exam (and x-rays for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds), the 29 entries
have outstanding
Irish, warmblood, and thoroughbred bloodlines and exceptional potential
for exciting careers in sport. Every horse has been born in Ireland
and is registered
with either the Irish Horse Board or the KWPN. Bloodlines of the
selected horses include Aldato, Aldatus Z, Carrabawn View, Cavalier
Royale, Clover
Hill, Condios, Coolcorran Cool Diamond, Cruising, Diamond Serpent,
Dow Jones Courcel, Ekstein, Errigal Flight, and Master Imp xx.
SCOPE
is Ireland's first and only elite auction of showjumping, dressage,
and eventing prospects. The SCOPE Selection Committee is comprised
of Ned Campion
(Olympic showjumper from Ireland), Gillian Rolton (Olympic eventer
from Australia), Jennie Loriston-Clarke (Olympic dressage rider
from Great
Britain), and Jaap Werners (Chairman of the KWPN Stallion Inspection
Committee). SCOPE veterinarians are Hugh Dillon of Troytown and
John Noonan of Adare.
SCOPE's radiographic consultant is Dr. Hans Schougaard of Denmark.
SCOPE's management and feeding consultant is Dr. Christa Finkler-Schade
of Germany and the SCOPE reproduction consultant is Dr. Elizabeth
Lane of London's Royal Veterinary College.
Overseas
visitors who export a horse through SCOPE are eligible for the Irish
Horse Board's Inward Buyer Programme, which provides a generous
travel subsidy.
