The British Equine Event, held over the weekend 3rd – 4th November at the NAC Stoneleigh Park, achieved its highest attendance figures ever – just under 17,000 visitors came to the event which was packed with equestrian personalities, demonstrations, features, information, advice and specialist exhibitor stands. The standard of trade stands this year was exceptionally high, making a tough job for the judges of the BETA sponsored Best Stand Award. Martin Collins Enterprises eventually came out on top in the 18 sq. m. and over category, whilst Robinson Animal Health Care won the prize for stands of up to 18 sq. m. The Best Breed Stand Award was won by the Eriskay Pony Society who produced a clear and informative presentation for the visitor and first place for the Best College Stand went to the Lincoln School of Agriculture with the University of Wales, Aberystwyth as a close runner up. With its year–on-year increase in attendance and high quality features and exhibitors, organisers of the British Equine Event are looking forward to staging their twelfth event. David Storrar, Director of Exhibitions at the RASE says, "Along with its increased attendance the event has also been growing in prestige, it is now clearly the best event of its kind in the country, which puts us in a good position for building on our success and further developing it for next year." http://www.equineevent.org.uk/ |
