This years Olympia International Show Jumping Championships (19th-23rd December 2001) will be another first for British Show Jumping when two unique displays will be joining the billing of world-class entertainment. The human horses, Matthieu Nassif and friends will make a whirlwind visit to England when, on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the show, they will demonstrate their amazing jumping skills by leaping over the show jumping courses on their own two legs! Those who went to the European Three Day Event Championships at Pau will have seen Matthieu in action. However, and with due deference to the Eventers, at Olympia, Matthieu and friends will be jumping up to 1.60m with spreads of up to 2.00m. Matthieus record is an incredible 1.73m. As if that wasnt enough alternative entertainment, the crowds at Olympia will be entertained all week by Mountain Bike Champion, Jez Avery who has now turned his incredible talent to entertaining audiences with his incredible stunts and his ability to jump distances of 25ft and heights of up to 8ft so guess what hell be doing at Olympia? Along with entertaining the crowds waiting to come into the show, the organisers have it in mind to see quite how good he is at jumping .. show jumps!
