U.S. RIDERS MOVE UP IN WORLD RANKINGS |
USA Equestrian (formerly
AHSA) is pleased to announce that, according to the
FEI World Rider Rankings released November 1, 2001, U.S. riders are moving
up the list.
Beezie Madden-Patton
moved from 23rd to 17th place on the FEI/Gandini World
Jumping Riders Rankings, making her the Leading Lady Rider and the best
U.S.
Rider, while Ray Texel moves into 18th place followed by Leslie Howard
who
is 19th on the list. On the FEI/BCM World Dressage Rider Rankings, Lisa
Wilcox continues her ascent, moving from 10th to 8th place.
The 11th edition of
the FEI/Gandini World Riders Rankings published on
November 18, will replace the edition of December 1. The last ranking
list
of the year will be published after Olympia, GBR.
USA Equestrian Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of
the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship
sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping,
and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian
competition. As the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation
has over 77,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions nationwide
each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating
and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate
at these shows.
