Grand
Prix to bring Dairygold Indoor Show Jumping to exciting climax
(Note change in starting time) |
The
Dairygold Indoor Show at Millstreet, Co Cork, reaches its apex this
evening with the staging of the 10,000 euro Dairygold Grand Prix.
With more than 50 of Ireland's top riders in action, it promises
to be an exciting climax to four days of top-class show jumping
at the Green Glens Complex.
All eyes will be focused on Clement McMahon, the Clones man who
rode Gelvin Clover to victory in last night's (Saturday, Nov 2)
Dairygold Indoor Derby. However, runner-up Waterford's Francis Connors
on Cruiseway, will be bidding to go one further this afternoon and
top the leaderboard.
Local star Robert Splaine is another who cannot be dismissed. The
Belgooly rider showed his prowess to take yesterday's BDO Simpson
Xavier Speed Derby on Springfield Ohio, with Francis Connors again
the bridesmaid on Millstreet Miss, owned by Green Glens proprietor
Noel C Duggan.
Today's grand prix is scheduled to start at approximately 4pm (not
5.30pm as previously stated), with the prizegiving at 7pm.
