Kernan's
rivals out of touch in grand prix |
James
Kernan, riding Out of Touch, won the Dairygold Indoor Grand Prix
at Millstreet, Co Cork, today (Sunday, November 3).
The Crossmaglen, Co Armagh rider was one of four to make the jump-off.
Second to go, he jumped clear in 34.34 seconds, which proved too
fast for Army riders Lt David O'Brien riding Killossery Kruissette
and Capt Gerry Flynn aboard Bornacoola. O'Brien finished second
with a clear in 36.34secs, while Flynn was third with a clear in
37.66secs. Waterford's Francis Connors, who was runner up last year,
was first into the arena and four faulted at the wall to finish
in fourth place.
