Comedy
And Bargains At Hickstead's Equine Event
Popular
comedy television shows will be the theme running through the public
forum at the Hickstead Equine Event, to be held at the All England
Jumping Course on January 10-12.
Hickstead's
version of "They Think it's All Over" is likely to be
the highlight, built around the dry humour of showjumper Tim Stockdale
coupled with the outrageous comments of dressage trainer and producer
Dane Rawlins and, at their mercy, Irish showjumping team member
and British Jumping Derby winner Peter Charles, European eventing
champion and Badminton winner Pippa Funnell, Young Rider European
individual silver and team gold showjumper Jamie Wingrave and Young
Rider dressage star Charlotte Edmonds.
Peter,
Pippa and Tim will also feature in "Room 101" Hickstead
style, airing their pet hates and it is a lottery as to who will
parade the catwalk for a lighthearted fashion show "Model (mis)Behavior."
Farrier
Richard Chard talks about his job, while a well known local veterinary
surgeon describes the highs and lows of "Vets in Practice."
Memorable moments - and some best forgotten - are highlighted in
a video action feature.
The
Hickstead Equine Event will be held in a luxury, heated marquee
with post-Christmas bargains available at many of the 100-plus trade
stands.
Entrance price will be £4, although early bookings made by
calling 01273 833884 will earn a £1 discount.
