Wins Saddle Seat Medal Finals

Garone, 17, of Richmond, NH, was crowned champion of the 2002
USA Saddle Seat Medal Finals, held November 23, as part of the
UPHA/American
Royal National Championship Horse Show in Kansas City, MO.
Garone
topped the class of 35 entries with the reserve championship going
to Dakota Willimon of Simpsonville, KY. The class was judged by
Maria Gilman of Land O' Lakes, FL, Lynn Harvey-McNamara of Wethersfield,
CT, and Marilyn Macfarlane of Simpsonville, KY. As champion Garone
will have her name engraved on the Adrian Van Sinderen trophy
and Helen K. Crabtree Perpetual Bronze. Champion and reserve each
received embroidered coolers, leather halters for their horses
and a bouquet of roses.
