TX (November 2003) - Mark your calendars now for the Certified Horsemanship
Association (CHA) International Annual Conference to be held September
23 - 26, 2004 at The Villas of Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida.
The conference is open to the public and includes mounted workshops
for participants, lessons on great performance horses from master
level certified instructors, top veterinarians and farriers, round
pen demonstrations and much more.
The
2003 Conference was held in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado at Glacier
View Ranch and had topics ranging from: saddle fit, reining, dressage,
equine first aid, equine dentistry, vaulting, Feldenkreis therapy,
conditioning the endurance horse, fundraising, grant writing, nutrition,
harnessing and driving, leather working, packing, farrier science,
working with riders with disabilities, and overnight camping with
horses.
The
full conference in Florida including most meals and lodging is in
between $450 and $850 for the entire conference based on the number
of people in a suite and whether the participant is a CHA member.
CHA membership is $35 a year. The daily rate is $75 and includes
lunch. Walk-ins are welcome for daily rate participants. The deadline
is August 1st for those staying for the entire conference.
The
mission of CHA is to promote excellence in safety and education
for the benefit of individuals and group riding programs. CHA certifies
instructors and trail guides, accredits equestrian facilities and
