Carrot Crunch 2003
|
2,500
bags of carrots, enough to satisfy hundreds of hungry horses, will
be sold in aid of charity at the Devon and Cornwall Christmas Equine
Fair, at West Point in Exeter, on 22 & 23 November.
Dodson
& Horrell, the animal feed specialists, are donating all 2,500
bags of carrots, supplied by Nigel Bones of Hatherleigh, and these
will be sold for £2.50 a bag over the two days, with all the
proceeds going to the ILPH (International League for the Protection
of Horses). In addition Dodson & Horrell will be giving a £3.00
voucher to every purchaser, which can be redeemed against purchase
of their products.
"Dodson
& Horrell are delighted to be sponsoring the 2003 Carrot Crunch
and hope to raise over £6000 for the ILPH", says Bill
Chudley, Sales & Marketing Director for Dodson & Horrell.,
Comments
Jeff Herrington, ILPH Field Officer for S.W. England, "We are
extremely grateful to Dodson & Horrell for their generosity
in donating these many tons of carrots. It's thanks to the kindness
of private individuals and businesses such as Dodson & Horrell,
and Contour Exhibitions, that the ILPH is able to continue its equine
welfare work worldwide."
