FORCE 9 GALES DELAY INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS The freak weather conditions which have brought flooding to much of the country are delaying the arrival of the 24 foreign riders to the Olympia International Show Jumping Championships (14th-18th December). Gordon Ashman of the shows travel company, Shelley Ashman, has reported that the horseboxes are still on the dockside at various European ports waiting for the strong winds to abate. Teams of vets and stable staff will be up all night again tonight (Wednesday) to ensure the smooth arrival procedure for those arriving late Wednesday and through into the early hours of Thursday. The show is not anticipating any serious effect to the start of the show on Thursday. There will be ten performances at Olympia from Thursday 14th December - Monday 18th December. The box office can be contacted on +44 (0)870 848 0000 or visit the web site at www.olympiashowjumping.com Tickets are priced from £11 with concessions for groups, seniors and children. For boxes and corporate entertainment please call Nicola Hedley Lewis on +44 (0)20 7370 8189. |
