BETA Secures
Export Funding For Industry
|
BETA has secured sponsorship
status and funding to assist businesses with the costs of exhibiting at
three overseas shows.
The funding worth
nearly £150,000 is a huge boost for the industry and has been made
possible through Trade Partners UK, which is the export arm of the Department
of Trade and Industry.
The cash will help
with the costs of exhibiting at three of the major exhibitions in Europe.
As part of the SESA
(Support for Exhibitions and Seminars Abroad) scheme, Trade Partners UK
will fund 60 per cent of the stand and build costs for each qualifying
company.
The shows include
SPOGA in Cologne, Germany and the World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la
Frontera, Spain, both in September 2002, and Equitana in Essen, Germany,
September 2003.
BETA Chief Executive
and Secretary Claire Williams said: "With the funding potentially
worth nearly £150,000 it will provide a much needed boost for many
companies considering participation in these fairs for the first time."
The maximum a company
will receive is £2,300 and although BETA is co-ordinating the project,
funding is open to both BETA members and non-members. Participating BETA
members will however be charged a lower management fee.

and to apply for funding please contact Claire Williams at BETA on 01937
