Irish Rider Wins Olympia's
World Cup Qualifier
In an amazing double
at London's Christmas Show in Olympia, Irish rider
Peter Charles today (Saturday December 22) won the UK's only World Cup
Qualifying Competition, after snatching the Puissance prize last night
from
a top-class field of international riders.
Peter picked up Stg£11,000
for his First Place today, which he can add to
the Stg£5,400 won last night in the Puissance. The points won today
will
also help him climb the Western European League rankings for possible
qualification in the World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany, on May 5, 2002.
Peter Charles is the
only Irish rider at the Olympia show, and won the
Erisson World Cup Qualifier on the Irish-bred <Carnavelley>.
