The Garden State Horse
Show, presented by the Junior Essex Troop, Inc.,
celebrates its 51st anniversary at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta,
NJ, May 1-5, 2002.
The Garden State Horse Show, New Jersey's largest hunter/jumper show and
one of the largest shows of its kind in the country attracts the nation's
best riders, including U.S. Equestrian Team and Olympic veterans such
as Peter Leone and Nona Garson.
The Show runs daily
from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., the show features six rings of equestrian
competition. The week's competition is highlighted by the $50,000 Garden
State Grand Prix, a member event of the Cosequin U.S. Grand Prix League,
held on Saturday, May 4 at 1:30 pm.
Admission to the Garden State Horse Show is $10.00 per carload on Saturday
and free on all other days. In addition to exciting equestrian action,
the Garden State Horse Show offers numerous shopping and dining opportunities
at its Country Fair.
