Kurten Delivers Irish Double At Mechelen
|
WITHIN
two hours of Conor Swail winning the Nekkerhal Cup at the last of
the big 2003 European indoor show jumping venues today (Saturday),
Ireland's Jessica Kurten delivered the double by taking the coveted
Queen's Cup at Mechelen, Belgium.
Riding
her veteran 17 yr old bay <Paavo N>, Co. Antrim-born Kurten
took the Cup - reserved for female riders only - from Belgium's
own Adeline Lefevre, with just fractions of a second between them
in the jump-off.
Kurten,
though, will now have her sights firmly fixed on the World Cup classes,
the climax of which happens on Tuesday, December 30, with the Land
Rover Grand Prix.
