Madden Named USET Athlete of the Month for November
|
Gladstone, NJDecember 2, 2003 Beezie Madden of Cazenovia,
NY was named United States Equestrian Team Athlete of the Month
for November after she topped an international field to win the
Mercedes German Masters class at CSI**** Stuttgart in Stuttgart,
Germany on November 21. The 2003 Pan American Games team Gold
Medalist, who was awarded a new Mercedes-Benz for her win, won
the class on Authentic, an 8-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding
owned by Elizabeth Busch Burke and John Madden Sales.
On November 16, Madden helped the U.S. team win the Nations Cup
at CSIO*** Buenos Aires to clinch a berth for the United States
in the 2004 Samsung Super League, an elite show jumping series
open to only eight countries. Madden helped lead the U.S. to the
do-or-die victory with a clean first round and just one knockdown
in the second round on Innocence, owned by Allan Shore, Jr.
