Horsing around the net
www.horseandponysales.co.uk

The internet is very much in the news and internet sites seem to be springing up at an alarming rate, many will fall by the wayside but one we heard about of recently seems to have all of the ingredients required for success.

horseandponysales.co.uk is the brain child of Nicola Walden and offers the opportunity for owners and prospective purchasers to do just what the domain name suggests at a price lower that most forms of advertising and yet available to a greater audience than even the largest circulation magazine.

For as little as £25.00 Horse and Pony Sales will show a colour photograph and written text on their site placed under the heading of your choice. (Adverts can be placed without a photograph for £20.00) So if you are selling or buying an animal or have tack or other items for sale there is usually a heading already in place, but if not one can easily be created and you can be on site and advertising within 24 hours, as the site is updated on a regular basis.

At the time of writing Horse and Pony Sales is ranked number one on “Equiseek” and “Topsites” both equine directories where you can vote for the site of your choice. The site is already receiving a steady stream of traffic from a large number of the search engines and is ranked in the top ten on some of the major ones. This is the Lake District Website featured the site in a recent article it did on horses on the internet, and the site has featured in a number of newspapers and was voted “Website of the Week” by the Westmoreland Gazette Newspapers.

There is a facility on the site for e-mailing your requirements when you are searching for a horse or pony. Your details will be added to the database and you will be contacted you as soon as a suitable animal is added to the site. This is proving to be a popular service and an extensive database of people desperate to find their ideal pony or horse is being added to on a daily basis. This facility greatly increases the potential for a deal to be agreed in the shortest possible time. A facility that is not available in traditional forms of advertising.

Whereas most people have already formatted their advertisement, help and advice is always available by e-mail or telephone, a facility not generally available in most other forms of advertising.

In the short time that the site has been running the response has exceeded all expectations and feedback already shows that there is a major demand for this kind of service.

Nicola has been involved with horses for many years and has competed in BHS ODE’s as well as assisting at local events. She also has had extensive show jumping training with Lionel Dunning and competed at county level on their horses. She was one of only 8 in the North of England, chosen by the BSJA to attend a training course given by John Lanni – trainer of one of the British Teams. For the past few years Nicola has bred a number of foals from her eventing mare and intends to start competing the first of these next year.

If you would like to advertise on the site please e-mail Nicola on nicola@horseandponysales.co.uk
