EQUITANA meeting at Euro-Star in the new hall

Celebrities up close
Celebrities up close is the guiding
slogan of EQUITANA meeting at euro-star in the centre of the new fair hall 3.
On the large stage there will be stars in the flesh four times a day, Stars
from the riding sports scene, who are well-known far beyond the borders of
Germany. Two current Olympic winners are already firmly on the euro-star guest
list: Ulla Salzgeber, who returned form Sydney highly decorated with team gold
and individual bronze, and Otto Becker who with the grey stallion Cento played
a decisive role in acquiring victory for the German team in the Olympics show
jumping competition. In the individual evaluation Otto Becker just missed a
medal by a hairs-breadth and landed in fourth place.
Also Helena Weinberg, the worlds most
successful equestrienne, her husband Peter and four-times Olympic champion
Nicole Uphoff are expected at the EQUITANA meeting at euro-star. In panel
discussions these prominent personalities from the sports scene will report not
only on their experiences down under but also on the day-to-day
work with their horses. They may even reveal the odd personal success tip. And
they and other stars will be available to sign autographs as we said,
celebrities up close.
In addition to the panel discussions with
celebrities, which will be presented by Volker Wiebels four times a day (11.30
a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5.30 p.m., the programme will also include a forum
with experts (at 4 p.m. every day) at the EQUITANA meeting at euro-star. The
theme of consumer protection is highly topical. Euro-star offers in
co-operation with the expert partnership Dr Dreyer-Rendelsmann & Volker
Raulf a lot of information concerning the consumer in equestrian sport. Open
disputes with high-calibre experts from the industry can be expected here. The
themes:
- A horse is worth whatever the buyer wants to
pay for it. How much is my horse really worth?
- There is no guarantee for nature. Nor for
pre-purchase examinations and their consequences.
- The difficulty about full board and lodging.
Isnt every horse owner a self-provider? Who is liable?
- Insemination without offspring. Consumer
protection in horse breeding. Is there such a thing?
- Frosty ground, from special rubbish to the
natural product?
- Riding school horses. How do I recognise good
riding schools? Who is liable in accidents?
At the journalists talks, scheduled for 2
p.m. each day, reputable journalists from the equestrian sports scene meet
interesting guests. Sabine Hartelt (WDR), Gabriele Mohrmann (St. Georg), Irina
Ludewig (Reiter Revue international) and Susanne Hennig (PferdeSport
International) have already agreed to come.
There are prizes to win too: euro-star will
organise a search game during the fair.
