The United
States Equestrian Team Elects New Officers

19, 2002 The 2002 Annual Meeting of members of the United States
Equestrian Team, Inc. (USET) was held on Monday, February 11, at the West
Palm Beach Crowne Plaza Hotel, in West Palm Beach, FL.
Following the annual
meeting, the USET Board of Trustees met and elected Frank V. Lloyd as
Chairman of the Board. Lloyd, who had been the Teams Vice Chairman,
succeeds Finn M. W. Caspersen who had served as USET Chairman for the
past nine years. Caspersen, whose tenure as Chairman included two stints
as USET President, was elected President Emeritus. Herbert A. Lurie, a
long-time member of the Board of Trustees, was elected Vice Chairman and
Dr. Armand Leone, Jr. was re-elected as President and CEO.
Elected by the Board
to serve as USET Officers until the 2003 Annual Meeting were: William
C. Steinkraus, Chairman of the Board Emeritus; Finn M.W. Caspersen, President
Emeritus; Herbert A. Lurie, Vice Chairman; Dorothy A. Matz, Senior Vice
President; Jessica Ransehousen, Vice President/Dressage; James R. Fairclough,
Vice President/Driving; Arthur W. Priesz, Jr., Vice President/Endurance;
C. Michael Huber, Vice President/Eventing; Don Burt, Vice President/Reining;
George H. Morris, Vice President/Show Jumping; J. Ashton Moore, Vice President/Vaulting;
Eric Straus, Secretary; Richard H. Brown, Treasurer; and John H. Fritz,
Assistant Secretary/Treasurer.

The United States Equestrian Team is
a non-profit organization that selects, trains, equips and finances equestrians
of the highest possible standard to represent our country in major international
competition, including the Olympic Games and the World Championships.

talented athletes - riders, drivers and horses - and provides the support
