USET Announces
Dates for 2002 World Equestrian Games Show Jumping Selection Trials

19, 2002The United States Equestrian Team (USET) has announced the
dates for the Show Jumping Selection Trials for the 2002 World Equestrian
Games to be held in Jerez, Spain, September 11-22, 2002.
Trials will be held
July 20 21 at Del Mar Horse Park, Del Mar, CA and July 26 and 28
during CSI-A San Juan Capistrano, The Oaks Blenheim, San Juan Capistrano,
CA.
Del Mar will host
Round 1 on Saturday, July 20. Rounds 2 and 3 (over the same course) will
also be held at Del Mar on Sunday, July 21. The selection trials move
to CSI-A San Juan Capistrano, The Oaks Blenheim for Rounds 4, 5, and 6
on Friday, July 26 and Sunday, July 28. The Final Trials for the US team
for the 2002 World Equestrian Games will be the first two rounds from
the $175,000 Cargill Grand Prix on Sunday, July 28.
Horse-and-rider combinations
wishing to compete in Show Jumping Selection Trials for the 2002 World
Equestrian Games must qualify by achieving a performance standard in one
or more USET and/or Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI)
qualifying classes. Information about the qualifiers, as well as the full
