FINALS TNT SIRES OF THE WORLD TO
ZANGERSHEIDEAs a
result of a general ban on the transport of livestock issued by Minister
Brinkhorst, the board of Indoor Brabant has decided that the international
concours hippique in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch cannot take place. The
planned final of the TNT Sires of the World of Friday evening 23 March will,
therefore, take place at a later date.
It was only this morning that
the organisation heard that the final in Den Bosch has been cancelled. All
invitees and participants were immediately called and warned of the situation
that had arisen. After an emergency meeting it was decided to postpone the
finals to a date in September. During the international competition at Domain
Zangersheide in Lanaken (20 to 23 September) the 25 stallions that had
qualified for the finals can still fight for the title of TNT Sires of the
World. Originally the first heats of the new season's competition were to be
held in Lanaken. Now this honour is bestowed on Hanover; it will have its turn
on the international calendar about a month after the event at Zangersheide (26
to 28 October) . After that in Kiel, Amsterdam and Mechelen the best stallions
in the world will have another chance to qualify to take part in the final of
the TNT Sires of the World which will take place in Den Bosch in March
2002.
