AHSA/NHJC EXTENDS NOMINATING
PROCESS FOR ZONE 10 |
The American Horse Shows Association (AHSA) has
announced that the National Hunter Jumper Council (NHJC) Board of Governors and
the Officers of the AHSA are recommending that the Zone 10 Committee extend the
nominating process for this year's Zone election. The final Open Nominating
forum will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at 4:00pm PT at the Zone 10
Office at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank, CA.
Attendance either in person or via conference call will be permitted at this
meeting. Please participate by dialing 1.800.791.2345, pass code 64079#. Please
note that pursuant to the NHJC By-laws that the proposed candidates of the Zone
Nominating Committee will be presented at the meeting, and there also may be
additional nominations from the floor provided a petition signed by no fewer
than 10 Individual Senior Active Members eligible to vote in the Zone is
presented and the nominator and at least two seconding members are
participating at the meeting or on the conference call. Petitions should be
received at the Zone 10 Office by mail, delivery or fax (818) 840-8153 in
advance of the start of the meeting.

The American Horse Shows Association, as the National Equestrian Federation of
the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports
of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting,
as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As the
country's largest multi-breed organization, the AHSA has over 70,000 members
