Armathwaite Hall Strongid™-P Horse Trials and Country Fair
July 20th, 21st & 22nd, 2001

MULTIPLE TV DEALS CONFIRMED FOR ARMATHWAITE HALL STRONGID-P EVENT

Several major TV contracts secured by the organising team of the Armathwaite Hall Strongid-P Horse Trials were announced this week and add up to coverage that will put British Eventing into almost every country in the world.

The premier Lake District event, which offers what is arguably the biggest one-day prize package on the UK circuit, has proved highly attractive to broadcasters and with the exception of China, is scheduled for global coverage. UK viewers will have a choice of satellite broadcasters, plus terrestrial coverage.

The event, which takes place this year over the weekend of July 20th-22nd, will host competition at the highest level and should attract most of the leading international riders keen to enjoy both the competitions and the unrivalled hospitality based around the 4-star Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel.

The event’s organising team were delighted to confirm the TV coverage this week, joint organiser Charles Graves commenting, "Eventing is an exciting sport and viewers across the world will now be able to see the very best horses and riders competing at the top level here in the Lake District. This has got to be good news not only for our event, but also for the local tourist industry and the whole of British Eventing.
