horse U.S. RIDERS COMPETING AT WORLD EQUESTRIAN FESTIVAL


The American Horse Shows Association (AHSA) announced today that results of U.S. riders competing at the World Equestrian Festival, Aachen, Germany from June 12-17, 2001 can be found on its website at www.ahsa.org/competition.asp.

The following riders are taking part in the show jumping (CSIO) competition: Alice Debany Clero, based in Paris, France; Alison Firestone, Upperville, VA; Beezie Madden, Cazenovia, FL; Jimmy Torano, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Peter Wylde, based in Maastricht, Germany.

David Saunders from Ocala, FL and Chester Weber from Ocala, FL are competing in the driving classes (CAIO).

The American Horse Shows Association, as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As the country's largest multi-breed organization, the AHSA has over 70,000 members and recognizes more than 2,600 competitions nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate at these shows.
