SENIOR EUROPEAN SHOW JUMPING CHAMPIONSHIPS, ARNHEM, NETHERLANDS JUNE 27 - JULY 1

LENNON TAKES SIXTH FOR IRELAND IN INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Dermott Lennon, whose clear round On Friday secured the Team European Championships for Ireland, failed today (Sunday, July 1) to take a medal in the Individual Championships Final, where he ran up a total of 10 faults (8 jumping - two time faults) to finish 11th in the Audi Grand Prix.

Combined with his score for Days One and Two of the Championships, this left him with a total of 19.10 penalty points, which dropped him down the leader board from his overnight Third position to Sixth overall.

However, Lennon (32) from Co. Down, still takes home a European Gold Medal for the team event, in which Ireland finished First on Friday.
