Charities Receive £11,400 from
CWG Burghley Sponsored Ride
Bill Henson, director of Burghley Horse Trials,
received a cheque for a massive £11,400 in November, on behalf of the
charities who will benefit from this year's CWG Equestrian Burghley sponsored
ride. These will include the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund, the Bill Thomson
Bursary Fund, the Riding for the Disabled Association and Lincolnshire Air
Ambulance Find.
Special category awards of a Panacur Equine Guard jacket were also presented to
three participants for their individual acheivements. Nine year old Emma-Jayne
Millar from Rutland received a jacket for raising the most money in te under 16
category. Penny March from Leicestershire received a jacket for raising the
most money in the CWG club member category and Sandy Sinclair from Bedfordshire
received a jacket for raising the most money in the non-member category. The
prizes were presented by Ian Scott, commercial director for CWG Equestrian and
Peter Bates, regional representative for Intervet UK Ltd.
An annual event, this year's sponsored ride was supported by Intervet UK Ltd,
manufacturers of Panacur Equine Guard and Pyratape P.
