The Maitriser Schooling Device

The Maitriser does not force a horse into an outline. If the horse evades the bit by raising his head, overbending, snatching or leaning on the bit, the Maitriser corrects the evasion.

The horse is thus encouraged to work without evasion.

It is excellent for novice riders, as it maintains a contact on the outside rein when the horse is asked to turned and thus discourages the horse from pushing it’s shoulder.

The Maitriser is excellent for use in lunge work. If it is used regularly the horse bends correctly on the circle and engages it’s hindquarters. It can overcome evasions that are difficult to correct and it does so without forcing the horse.
